Tommy Cota

Tommy Cota wrote this article. As a kid, he was exposed to a life of chaos and was intrigued with the street life in the city of Artesia (South East LA County). This ultimately led to a prison sentence of about six years. It was during this time that his wife, Diana, began praying for him and soon after his release he surrendered his life to Christ. Tommy was so excited about this new life in Christ he enrolled in Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa’s School of Ministry. In 2004 he was brought on staff at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa where he served as the pastor of the Hands of Hope Ministry. In February of 2014 he was encouraged by Pastor Brian Brodersen, took a step of faith and planted Hope Alive Church in Santa Ana. Tommy’s heart is to reach the people of Santa Ana with the message of hope that is found in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He has been married to his wife Diana since 1990 and have three children, Tommy Jr., Isabella, and Jacquelyn.
