Creation Fest On Air 2020!

By July 17, 2020Uncategorized

We are happy to announce that we will be partnering with Creation Fest UK with this year’s Creation Fest On Air! These will be weekly, TV-style episodes premiering Monday evenings at 8 PM PT! Enjoy this summer of encouragement, fun and hope-filled episodes! Here is a letter from the Creation Fest Team.

Just like the many festivals scheduled for 2020, COVID-19 has put paid to Creation Fest IRL this year. But aware of the gap that it’s format as a free-to-attend, evangelistic event will leave, Creation Fest are creatively communicating the gospel online this summer, in a series of six TV-style shows starting Monday 20th July.

Creation Fest On Air will take the best of what Creation Fest has to offer.

And all that makes it unique – and condense it into six TV-style shows that will be aired weekly during July and August 2020. Each episode will be jam-packed with music, thought-provoking talks, worship and life stories from a diverse collective of the best international musicians, speakers and celebrities, plus a whole host of surprise special guests getting up to all sorts of shenanigans.

Adventurer Bear Grylls, England & Saracens rugby star Billy Vunipola and astronaut Charlie Duke, the 10th man to walk on the moon, will join Matt Redman, Pat Barrett, Amy Orr-Ewing, Tim Chaddick, Guvna B, Philippa Hanna, Jake Isaac, Carl Beech and many more in a star-studded lineup.

Episodes will air every Monday night at 8 pm from 20 July – 31 August.

You can view on the Creation Fest Facebook page, website and YouTube channel (and be available to watch afterwards) for free.

With national newspapers reporting that one in four adults have attended an online church service during lockdown and a 50% surge in online searches for prayer since the start of COVID-19, many churches are still struggling to respond to this upturn in interest at a time when traditional face-to-face methods of evangelism and outreach cannot be employed.

“One of the challenges facing our churches is how we continue to reach out to those in our community in these times,” said Jon Langford, pastor of Bodmin Light and Life Church.

“Creation Fest on Air offers us the opportunity to engage with content of a quality that we could not create ourselves. We will be running watch parties, and hopefully, even socially-distanced gatherings to watch it live, if guidelines allow.”

As a free-to-attend, outreach-focussed event, Creation Fest occupies a unique space within the Christian festival scene.

An event specifically designed with something for everyone, that brings Christians closer to Jesus, and that is accessible and attractive to those who don’t yet know God or who are on the fringes of church community. Creation Fest On Air is specifically designed to replicate those aims online; to equip and inspire those that love Jesus to better go out and share him with their communities and creatively communicate the gospel to those that may never have heard it before.

Not just another Christian festival sharing their content online, the series is accompanied by a full set of free, downloadable resources, including small group guides and printable invitations, making it ideal for churches and individuals to use as both an evangelism or discipleship tool. With online watch parties, small group sessions and even drive-in movie screenings being planned, it might just be the event of the summer!
